Whether they are descended from dragons or have been gifted special talents by them, these warriors use their draconic abilities to enhance their combat prowess.

Starting at third level you are infused with the essence of a single type of dragon (see the chart below). At 10th level you choose a second type of dragon, and at 15th level you choose a third.
You also can speak, read, and write Draconic.

At 3rd level, you can use your action to exhale destructive energy. You choose a single dragon essense you possess, which determines the size, shape, and damage of the exhalation.
When you use your breath weapon, each creature in the area of exhalation must make a saving throw, the type of which is determined by the dragon essense. The DC for this saving throw equals 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus. A creature takes 2d6 damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful one. The damage increases to 3d6 at 5th level, 4d6 at 10th level, and 5d6 at 15th level.
After you use your breath weapon, you can't use it again until you complete a short or long rest. If you possess a breath weapon as a dragonborn, you treat your racial ability separate from your class ability, so you can use both features without needing to complete a short or long rest.

Starting at 5th level, you have resistance to the damage types associated with your draconic essense. When you gain your second and third essense, you gain resistance to those types as well.

Dragon Damage Type Breath Weapon
Black Acid 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Blue Lightning 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Brass Fire 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Bronze Lightning 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Copper Acid 5 by 30 ft. line (Dex. save)
Gold Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
Green Poison 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
Red Fire 15 ft. cone (Dex. save)
Silver Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save)
White Cold 15 ft. cone (Con. save)

At 7th level, you can push yourself even further than a normal fighter thanks to the draconic essense in you. When you use your Action Surge ability, all attacks made that turn deal an extra die of damage.

Starting at 10th level, you can use an action to cover your weapon or container of ammunition with your draconic essense. The weapon or ammunition deals an extra 1d6 damage for each draconic essense you decide to use, dealing the damage type corresponding to the dragon type. This coating lasts for 1 minute or until you decide to use this feature again.

At 15th level, you can make your breath weapon more powerful. When you use a breath weapon, you can choose to enhance it. The breath weapon deals 7d6 damage on a failed save and has an effect based on the damage type. See the table below for the additional effects.
Once you use this feature, you must finish a long rest before you can use it again.

Damage Type Effect
Acid The creature's AC decreases by 1 for 1 minute
Cold The creature's movement speed decreases by 10 ft. for 1 minute.
Fire The creature takes 1d6 fire damage at the start of their turn for 1 minute.
Lightnin The creature is unable to concentrate for 1 minute.
Poison The creature is poisoned for 1 minute.

At 18th level, you can use your breath weapon more often. After you use your breath weapon, you can use it again in 1 minute.
